I pointed out to that person, one of the servers was '' and that a second Windows 10 computer still using last years install, pointed atĪgain they stated, the problem is not the fault of the software, it is the fault of the servers. That person said that the problem was the email servers. The support people seem to be getting, and there is no nice way to say this, dumber.Īfter doing a remote session, one of the support members said my computer was on a domain. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft support, and it was painful.
This is my main computer, with a relatively fresh Windows 10 install and a new Office365 - 2016 install, no reverting possible. I have demonstrated, and it appears to be timing, that Outlook 2016 can delete an email on the server, WITHOUT downloading it. There is actually another variants of this event, that is even worse.

Overnight something changed there were no windows updates, as i have them selected so that i run them when required. Office 2016, installed for a few months with no problems.
No software has been installed on this machine. Log on, Download new emails, bingo all done. Up untill Tuesday last week I did not have any problems.
